Beyond Consulting: How Singulier Took on the T24 Triathlon

September 2 2025

At Singulier, our people bring the same energy to their personal passions as they do to their client work.

A couple of months ago, four Singulier consultants – Clara Thery (Senior Digital Strategy Manager), Marie-Astrid Deguet (Digital Strategy Consultant), Mehdi Chabadi (Senior Digital Strategy Manager), and Guillaume Lenotre (Senior Digital Strategy Consultant) – took on the T24 Triathlon, a 24-hour non-stop endurance race in France.

Together, they swam 11 km, cycled 302 km, and ran 95 km, covering a total of 408 km in just one day and night.

With Singulier as a sponsor, we commend the team’s remarkable performance in the race. However, it is their demonstration of passion, collaboration, and commitment to their task and to one another that we truly celebrate – showcasing the culture that Singulier is proud to represent.

Few of the team had heard of the T24 before the idea surfaced at the firm. For Guillaume and Mehdi, it was the enthusiasm of colleagues that persuaded them to sign up despite initial hesitation. “I had a lot of doubts at first,” Guillaume admitted, “but the challenge itself quickly became a strong motivator.”

For Clara, already an experienced triathlete, the unusual relay format was part of the appeal. And for Marie-Astrid, the event represented both a physical test and an opportunity to share a unique experience with colleagues: “The challenge of 24 hours sounded great… but so did the chance to take it on with teammates.”

Each consultant approached preparation differently. Clara maintained her ten-hour weekly triathlon routine, often training twice a day. Marie-Astrid relied on early mornings: “I love arriving at the office with the feeling that my day has already started.”

For Guillaume, a standout runner, swimming and cycling required more adjustment. Mehdi, by contrast, was not only strong on the run but easily the most capable swimmer and cyclist of the group. Even so, the rhythm of consulting meant training had to be slotted into already demanding weeks. The common factor was consistency and dedication: integrating preparation into work schedules required discipline, persistence, and genuine enthusiasm for the challenge.

For all four, the race reinforced lessons directly relevant to their professional lives.

  • Teamwork and support: Guillaume and Mehdi highlighted the importance of encouragement under pressure. “In a race, as in consulting, you achieve more when you support each other and make a plan for success together.” Mehdi explained.
  • Looking out for one another: Clara noted that success came from small acts – checking teammates had eaten, reminding them to set an alarm before their next lap. “At work it looks different, but the principle is the same.”
  • Persevering through complex challenges: For Marie-Astrid, shifting mindset when the challenge is at its peak was key.“Taking over the race at 3:30am with little sleep wasn’t easy, but encouragement from volunteers and teammates helped me stay optimistic to keep going. That mindset of perseverance definitely applies at work too.”

Certain memories stood out above the rest. Guillaume and Mehdi recalled the final 30 minutes, when fatigue was at its peak, but the team still managed to complete two additional laps to secure extra points. Clara was proud of sustaining her pace during her last two runs, despite almost no sleep, while Marie-Astrid described her dawn sprint that allowed the team to fit in one final relay before the 9:00 a.m. cut-off.

Each moment reflected not just endurance, but also the determination to contribute to the collective result.

The Singulier T24 team – Clara, Mehdi, Marie-Astrid, and Guillaume

Despite the exhaustion, the answer was unanimous: yes. Guillaume and Mehdi are already considering smaller-team formats for added difficulty. Clara sees a future solo or pair challenge. And Marie-Astrid laughed that she would happily sign up again – “though ideally on a flatter track.”

Their achievement wasn’t just about the 408 km covered. It was about proving what’s possible through passion, preparation, teamwork, and the collective pursuit of excellence.

Congratulations, team Singulier!
